Dr Wakar Amin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work, University of Kashmir. In an academic career spanning over 18 years. Dr. Wakar has served as the project director of  the GFATM project on HIV/AIDS,TB and Malaria  ( Counseling Sub component) for the staté of Haryana, India. He has been involved in teaching, training, research and consultations with various governmental and non- governmental institutions. His research areas include Public Health and  Minority Studies.Presently he is heading the National service scheme ( A Government Sponsored countrywide youth empowerment initiative) wing at  the university of Kashmir.
