Javaid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work, University of Kashmir. His teaching and research focus on child protection, child rights, social policy, adversity-affected children,  and public health. He is interested in strengthening child protection systems in J&K through research, teaching, policy engagement, and field-based practice.
