Social Work profession follows humanitarian philosophy but is often criticized for operating in a conformist framework that does not challenge gender injustice within the professional organizational set-up or family-based practice. Consequently, women suffer as service providers as well as service users. This paper attempts to describe classroom experiences with Social Work trainees where gender is sought to be integrated with Social work education. Formatted on inquiry-based learning and promoting self-directed learning, this work uses dialogical teaching to problematise gender. Deconstruction of gender using historical narratives and various feminist perspectives is used to sensitize trainees towards gender issues. The module involving quizzes, questionnaires, case studies and narratives followed by conversations is applied in integrating gender with Social Work in the classroom. The outcome of this approach is more sensitized and well-informed trainees who are expected to question gender inequality in their practice and challenge the hierarchies within their organizations.

This article draws the analysis between the first and second Corona waves in India and seeks to find the explanations for the surge of the second wave in India. The present study design is guided by Literature review and synthesis. Based on the secondary data, four important metrics were identified for present study which include; 1) Awareness, 2) Lockdown, 3) Health Infrastructure, and 4) Socio-religious, Political and Economic Institutions. The data was analysed to explicit the reasons for the surge of Covid-19 second wave in India. The analysis of the metrics suggests that there has been considerable knowledge about the awareness levels of the spread and contamination of Corona virus in the first wave of the Covid-19. The cases went down as a result of the lockdown policy. The unlock policy, on the other hand, culminated in the systemic cave in of social and political systems, resulting in the surge of the second Covid-19 wave in India. The second wave spread even more than the first wave as a result, prompt and immediate institutional action is needed to halt the pandemic's rapid spread.

Women in general, and marginalized women in particular, in developing countries, are generally less educated and less informed about reproductive health, including family planning and contraception usage. In this condition, women's poor contraceptive use, marginalization of women, and variables such as education, poverty, and resources that obstruct family planning uptake are relevant, and there needs to be more attention required. The goal of this study was to investigate the prevalence and marginalization of family planning methods among women in general and Muslim women in particular. This paper is based on secondary data, which includes Census 2011, and post-MDGs achievements and NFHS-3 (2005-06) & NFHS-4 (2015-16) & NFHS-5(2019-20) and various government reports. It was found that the prevalence of contraceptive use among Muslim women is low as compared to other religious groups. Contraceptive use among Muslim women is constrained by the lack of information, illiteracy, and accessibility, and as a result, women from specific sections have suffered greatly in terms of reproductive health.

Immunization has been one of the most effective interventions in lowering infant mortality rates around the world. Vaccinating children completely and on time protects and benefits them throughout their childhood. The government of India has in vogue the universal Immunization program. A slight disruption in this existing program owes multiple issues in child health care delivery system. The delay in schedules can result in vaccine-preventable illness and related mortality. Covid 19 pandemic has posed substantial challenges, affecting every sphere of life including the public health and routine universal immunization program. Due to disruptions in routine immunization programs in India and around the world a new stage for potentially serious outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases may occur. While data shows that immunization rates have since recovered, there is still a significant gap. A significant percentage of children received delayed vaccination during Covid 19 pandemic. The shortage of supplies of vaccines, disruption in schedules and fear psychosis has made it imperative to gauge the impact of Covid 19 outbreak on routine Universal Immunization.

So, the main objective of this paper is to examine how male gulf migration affects the lives of left-behind wives in Gopalganj district of Bihar. Primary data has been collected with an in-depth interview method. Books, journals, published documents, ILO, IOM (International organization of Migration), and Ministry of External Affairs has been used as secondary sources. The result of the study reveals that those women who are left behind after male migration face a lot of challenges and opportunities. Both Challenges and opportunities make them more capable and self-dependent but psycho-social aspects of left-behind women need to be addressed through various social work interventions. To reduce or minimize the psycho-social aspect of the problem intervention in terms of livelihood promotion, counseling as well community support activities required more attention.

In India, Health systems and polices have a critical role in determining the manner in which health services are delivered, utilized and affect health outcomes because of lack of capacity of public health systems to provide access to quality care resulted in a simultaneous evolution of the private health-care systems with a constant and gradual expansion of private health-care services. In order to eradicate this imperative social evil is raised in the public health sector which directly targets the poorest of the poor, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had already started the flagship project named as ‘Mohalla Clinic’ in July 2015 because Delhi needs robust and decentralized primary healthcare subcenters with cost-effective mechanism. The study was conducted in three different areas of Delhi (i.e. Sangam Vihar, Badarpur and Okhla) to know the level of satisfaction among the beneficiaries towards the Mohalla Clinic and its acceptability, affordability, availability and accountability of services for the beneficiaries through Descriptive Research Design with the help of qualitative method that involved theoretical frameworks and the subjective assessment of opinions and behaviour. This study concludes that it is undoubtedly true that migrants who lived in those areas where research is taken place are one of the most vulnerable groups among the unorganized sectors. They work in adverse situations that often put them in difficult situations. Most of these beneficiaries belong to poor families who are in need of care, protection and support for fulfillment of their basic rights to uplift their sustainable life. Also, this study highlighted the issues from Social Work perspective as social workers can play an active role in developing strength based model for such beneficiaries and facilitate adequate policy guidelines at local and national levels.
